Needless to say, all of the family in town means that we get to spend a ton of time with them and these two weeks are going to be family packed and the best kind of busy.
A tradition we're strating this year is being home on Christmas morning to celebrate Christmas Day with our kids. After we open presents and stockings and all of that hub bub, the next item on the agenda will be Christmas brunch. My in-laws are joining us this year to add to the fun.
Cinnamon Rolls
Fruit Salad
Bacon
I am all about make ahead dishes that I can just pop in the oven to bake while we open gifts. I've done baked french toast in years past but Todd leans farther to the savory side than the sweet so this strata recipe will be new for us and I can't wait to try it.
The brussels sprouts recipe is tried and true and the only thing I have to fully make the day of and they are so so easy that they hardly count. I ordered the cinnamon rolls, may favorites from Hall Street Bakery and my mother-in-law is bringing along the fruit salad so our morning should be easy as pie from a food standpoint.

What are you looking forward to eating this holiday? Are you trying anything new? Is there a traditional food that you have to eat every year? Please share in the comments, I'd love to hear!
Enjoy the rest of your Christmas Eve Eve and all of the Christmas weekend!
Pleased to know about this Christmas brunch party. On Christmas eve, I arranged a family dinner party at one of exemplary venues in Chicago. It was a grand party and we all enjoyed this party with great food.
