milestone madness

Wells has had a really big couple of weeks and we're quite excited about it around here.

In the last ten days, he has not only cut his first tooth but also his second.

Teeth are a big deal but then he started to crawl, which is huge!

He has already gotten so much better and faster at it. Sometimes he's almost out of sight after we turn away for just a few seconds.

I am also very happy to report that he started saying "Mama" a few days ago (yay!). Then yesterday, learned how to pull up in his crib and is so stinkin' proud of himself for doing it.

(P.S. You can watch a video of Elia pulling up in her crib for the first time at about the same age here. I cannot believe how little she looks in it!)

Wells topped off that flurry of milestones by saying "Dada" tonight for the first time. That is a lot of big stuff in a short period of time. In the midst of it all, he continues to charm the pants off of us. He's hardly ever grumpy even though he's been teething. The word I most commonly use to describe him is "delighted". He is just so pleased most of the time and so so dear.

I can't wait to see what other milestones he hits by his first birthday. I can't wait but I also can't believe it's coming in just a few months. I think most moms feel this way, so proud to watch their babies grow but sad that it's goes by so quickly. Let us soak it in, shall we?

  1. Aw such cute babies! 2 teeth in 10 days? That can be rough but glad he's doing well!

    1. Thank you! We're so lucky that he took it like a champ, he is such a trooper.
